New Years resolutions are pretty popular with the arrival of a new year. It is a chance to set the reset button on life and start things anew. Although, there are some things that we can’t start over. Setting New Years resolutions was once a big deal for me. But I find myself setting resolutions at all times of the year not just doing this time.
Changing my mindframe for the oncoming year is something that I find myself doing more of. Resetting my mainframe at the beginning of the year has become important to me because I’ve found myself getting lost in the sauce, so to speak, as the year goes on. For instance, having a positive train of thought is to the utmost importance to me. I have found myself dipping into the negative pool by the time the end of the year arrives. Not necessarily because of myself, but because of some of the company I keep. And some of the bullshit stories and drama that I have allowed myself to listen to. So, making sure the I refill my positivity tank at the beginning of the year is super important to me.
If you find yourself falling short of your goals or in the need of some tips to keep your resolutions on track. You are in the right place, my friend. Here are some tips that help me keep myself in check throughout the year.
Write down your goals. You can put it on your phone or write it on a piece of paper that you keep in your wallet.

Use a vision board. I swear by a vision board! I have literally seen so many visions come to fruition in my life by simply putting a picture of it on a cork board.

Set a reminder to check back on your progress. Put monthly reminders in your phone or calendar that tells you to check your goals.

Set realistic goals. Setting a goal of saving $1,000 per month when you only make $900 a month. Or losing 30 pounds by the end of the each month is simply not realistic. Set goals achievable goals.

Don’t be hard on yourself. We are human. There will be times when you fall short of your goals. But don’t let that deter you. Get up, dust yourself off and keep going. You will get there as long as you keep trying!

Tell someone to help you to hold yourself accountable. Make sure it is a person that will remind you instead of ridicule you. Their friendly reminder can be a great way to keep you on track of your goals.
