In a previous post, I pondered whether or not, our handmade label Fashion Not Fear, was doing enough to contribute to sustainability. Doing research in that post, really opened my eyes to how much fashion contributes to landfills being filled with clothing and fabric that is just thrown out as waste.
I most certainly make an effort to use every single piece of fabric that I’ve ever purchased. No scraps are left unused. Although, this doesn’t mean that my workroom isn’t filled with buckets and buckets of unused fabric.
Luckily, this “no waste” concept has made for some fabulous pieces to come from it. For instance, the Gallant Collection. I’ve named the fabric itself, gallant, in keeping with the theme to keep all things fearless. Gallant is defined as being showy, colorful, or stylish, as in dress and magnificent.
Here are the Fashion Not Fear pieces that have been created from the Gallant fabric.
This unique fabric is limited which means each piece is too. So, if you see something you like, don’t hesitate to cop it! Thoughts on my small contribution sustainability with Fashion Not Fear?? Please drop your honest opinions on the comments.
